Malnutrition is recognized as one of the leading causes of death for children worldwide. As the multi-faceted causes of malnutrition are better understood, it is clear that health and food systems must work together to ensure solutions are effective and sustainable. To further the conversation on how we can collaborate across food and health systems for improved nutrition, Devex and 1,000 days co-hosted a discussion on Tackling Malnutrition: Improving both Food and Health Systems featuring USAID Advancing Nutrition Project Director, Heather Danton.

During the event, Heather and fellow panelists explored the nutrition challenges facing many families in low- and middle-income countries and how we must tailor our approaches to addressing malnutrition to focus on food and health. The webinar was part of the Devex Future of Food Systems series and took place on May 12th at 9:30 AM ET. View the recording on the Devex website.
