From June 13–17, USAID Advancing Nutrition hosted an all-country learning retreat with eight of the project’s chiefs of party from Burkina Faso, Honduras, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, and Tanzania.

As many of the project’s countries enter their second and third year of programming, the in-person retreat in Arlington, Virginia offered room for reflection on lessons learned and facilitated a rich environment for cross-country learning and experience-sharing on multi-sectoral nutrition programming. The retreat’s sessions explored country-to-country linkages, including challenges, activities, and innovative approaches for nutrition program design. From sessions on communications to planning for future activities, the chiefs of party walked away with new ideas in mind, including avenues for long-term sustainability of the project’s work.

The week culminated with an all-country exposition featuring poster presentations by the chiefs of party on the work USAID Advancing Nutrition is carrying out in each of their home countries.
