Recognizing contextual challenges with counseling that often go unaddressed (e.g., limited time, heavy workloads, practical integration of nurturing care), USAID Advancing Nutrition partnered with the Ghana Health Service to develop a job aid that streamlines workflow and helps health workers prioritize caregivers of children who are most at risk of malnutrition or developmental delays. The flow chart provides support for addressing developmental concerns during counseling as needed such as those covered in our Responsive Care and Early Learning Addendum package: limited caregiver-child interaction, lack of learning activities, or caregiver stress. Check out this LinkedIn blog post to learn more about the development and utilization of the flow chart!
