RFP No. USAID-AN-073 Analysis of Cost and Affordability of a Nutrient Adequate Diet for Large Scale Food Fortification Activity in Zambia
USAID Advancing Nutrition under JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI) is soliciting proposals to identify an individual or firm/organization to pilot an analysis of the cost and affordability of a nutrient adequate diet using existing Zambian data. The consultant or firm/organization will model the cost and affordability of a diet adequate in energy, protein, fat, and micronutrients, without fortified foods and with fortified foods in specific fortification scenarios. The consultant or firm/organization will contribute to a results report for USAID Advancing Nutrition and to a manuscript of the results for submission to a peer-reviewed journal. The consultant or firm/organization will also review and provide comments to improve the description of the methods for the analysis of the cost and affordability of a nutrient adequate diet described in the draft operational guide.
