By disrupting systems that provide nutritious food and nutrition interventions, COVID-19 is expected to critically damage the nutrition of vulnerable groups. When children are not able to reach their full potential due to poor nutrition early in their lives, we risk losing an entire generation. This guidance document describes USAID’S integrated effort to mitigate malnutrition, focused on humanitarian assistance programming, safe access to nutritious food, ensuring contiunity of health services, social protection and through policy and programming.
