Promotion of early, exclusive, and continued breastfeeding is critical to support the optimal health, development, and survival of children during the first 1,000 days (pregnancy through a child’s second birthday).

To design and implement more tailored, age-specific counseling, we compiled a few key resources for implementers to review and consider to support quality breastfeeding promotion, including job aids, educational materials for caregivers, and resources on how to adapt, design, and implement breastfeeding promotion services.
